In collaboration with the esteemed Al Rayyan Hospitality Group, the project maintains the visual and cultural integrity of Souq Waqif, blending seamlessly into its historic surroundings.

Key Engineering Achievements

• Robust Metal Structure: The restaurant’s framework features a durable metal structure that supports its retractable roof, providing stability and elegance. Large sliding windows and the retractable roof open fully, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the surrounding Souq Waqif landscape during mild seasons. This setup respects the character of the area, ensuring the restaurant integrates visually with the historic views.

• Electrical and Lighting Systems: Custom lighting installations create a warm, inviting ambiance that complements the heritage style while enhancing visibility. The lighting design uses energy-efficient fixtures to balance function and aesthetics, accentuating architectural features without disrupting the traditional Souq Waqif atmosphere.

• HVAC and Climate Control: To maintain comfort, advanced HVAC systems are integrated with the retractable roof, adapting automatically to outside temperatures. Strategically positioned air conditioning units keep the space cool during warm weather, while the open roof and sliding windows allow for natural ventilation, preserving the authentic feel of the location.

• State-of-the-Art Kitchen Setup: The open kitchen features specialized cooking facilities, including a stone stove, charcoal grill, and tandoor oven, showcasing live cooking in an inviting, open-air setup. The kitchen includes efficient ventilation and exhaust systems to manage smoke and maintain air quality, allowing guests to enjoy their meals without distraction.
